Citizen Scientist with a Lifelong Eye for the Wild

I’m a citizen scientist with over 12 years of volunteer experience at Blackwater National Wildlife Refuge, along with a year spent volunteering with Salisbury Zoo, in Salisbury Maryland. I’ve spent my life refining techniques to spot well‑camouflaged creatures and have rescued wildlife of all kinds, coordinating with DNR, Fish and Wildlife, State Police, clinics, and rehabilitation centers to ensure animals are transported, treated, and released safely. While I don’t hold formal degrees, my knowledge comes from decades of hands‑on field work and constant study in areas like ornithology, herpetology, entomology, and more. We strive to ensure ethical interactions with the wildlife, and do not condone, encourage, or promote anyone to approach wildlife- without training, careful consideration of background, and reasoning for the encounter(s).
